Complete Blood Count (CBC)

A Complete Blood Count is a comprehensive laboratory investigation that evaluates the number, size and characteristics of different blood cells. Blood plays an essential role in carrying oxygen, supporting the immune system, controlling bleeding and maintaining overall body function.

The test measures red blood cells and related parameters, including haemoglobin and haematocrit, which help assess the blood’s oxygen-carrying capacity. Changes in these values may provide useful information for the evaluation of anaemia and other conditions affecting red blood cells.
